Frequently asked questions
What is Colors?
Colors is a mood and emotion tracker for iPhone and Android. You log how you feel, tag what was going on around it, and can take the entry through a CBT-style reframe. After a few weeks the charts show which triggers and factors your mood actually moves with.
Is my data private?
Before you create an account, your mood records and journal entries are stored only on your device. Once you create an account they are encrypted and synced so you can restore them on another device, and you can turn cloud sync off at any time in settings. We never share the text of your entries with third parties.
Which devices does Colors run on?
iPhone and Android. You can download it from the App Store or Google Play.
Can Colors replace therapy?
No. Colors is a journal built around ideas from CBT, DBT and exposure therapy — it is not a treatment and not a substitute for a licensed clinician. If something is interfering with your daily life, the app is at most a set of notes to bring to an appointment.
